Our customer is world leader in design, development and production of OEM metallic components for automotive industries. The company has 89 production units and 11 research and development centres worldwide.
The challenge
Installing of a state-of-the-art automotive chassis production line in Germany. The line is made of 85 robots (26 manipulation robots and 59 welding robots), conveyor belts and air-ground cable trays.
The project
Normandia is responsible for achieving the entire electrical and pneumatic installation for the production line. Considering the limited area in the German factory and wishing to optimise the installation we decided to pre-assemble the cable trays in our production facility in Brașov.
We assembled over 1 km of cable trays within 6 weeks and shipped them to Germany. Our electricians and pneumatic installations specialists were able to proceed with the works on all robots and subsequent installations on site.
This production line is being assembled from the beginning of November 2016 until the end of January 2017 . It will become operational by the end of 2017.
